We are opening for CHUCK BERRY!

Friends, we are proud to announce that we will be opening for the one and only Chuck Berry on Wednesday, March 14 at his St. Louis club, The Duck Room at Blueberry Hill. Needless to say, we’re more excited about this show than just about any show we’ve ever done. I can’t even quite articulate how much Chuck Berry means to me and all the guys in the band.

We hope you can join us. Tickets for Chuck’s monthly Duck Room shows sell out almost immediately (I know – I’ve tried to get them before). Their Ticketmaster page is here. I recommend signing up for their email list so you can be notified when tickets go on sale.

We’re also pleased to announce that we’ll be playing the WEVL Spring Concert this year on March 3rd at the Hi-Tone, with none other than Jimbo Mathus and the Tri-State Coalition. We’ve been wanting to do a show with Jimbo for years now,  so this should be a doozy!

There’s a handful of deep south tour dates coming up, too, including a Mardis Gras gig in New Orleans with Jack Oblivan. As always, stay tuned for more.

Feb 19  – New Orleans, LA @ Siberia w/ Jack Oblivian & King Louie’s Missing Monuments
Feb 24  – Jackson, MS  @ Ole Tavern on George St.
Feb 25  – Baton Rouge, LA @ Chelsea’s Cafe

  1. Wow!
    Gotta get tickets right now…

  2. Friends,
    I’d like to know, please…
The show in Blueberry Hill March 14, is you and Chuck Berry together or “John Paul Keith in Duck room”?

  3. Hi Ida. The show will be Chuck Berry headlining, and I will be opening (with my band, the One Four Fives). Tickets go on sale Feb 17. Thanks for your interest!

  4. Good luck at Blueberry Hill, I know you’ll knock em dead. I hear Chuck is a real chearacter, it would be interesting to hear about your experience at the show

There’s a record store on the same street, check em out while you’re there. Plenty of good beer up there too and I don’t mean bud

  5. Good luck tonight at Blueberry Hill, you deserve this moment. I’ve heard Chuck B is quite a character, it would be interesting to hear your impressions of the gig.

There is a good vinyl record store next to Blueberry Hill, check it out why you’re in town, there’s also plenty of good beer in St. Louis too, and I don’t mean Bud, check this site http://www.stltoday.com/entertainment/dining/bars-and-clubs-other/hip-hops/

  6. Hey, is that a picture of the Sears Tower in your site’s header image?

  7. Was at the show last at the Duck Room. Chuck Berry can still play like he’s just ringing a bell. JPK and one four five were a real treat. Love that style and they played with some serious intensity and vigor. Just added another fan here. Great music

  8. Thanks, Rob! I appreciate that. Hope to see you in STL again sometime.

And thanks for the support, Jeff. Yeah, we actually saw that shop but didn’t have time to go in. And to answer your question, no, that’s not the Sears building (I assume you mean the Memphis Sears building). It’s some run down old building near the RV camp by the river off Crump, near the Ornamental Metal Museum.

    Thanks guys!
