Made in Memphis on Beale Street Caravan

Look, Mom. I’m talking about records on public radio every week now, thanks to NPR Worldwide’s Beale Street Caravan?. I get to pick the track and do some research and write the script. In this first one I got to record my buddy Lawrence Boo Mitchell talking about the making of Mark Ronson’s #1 hit Uptown Funk. It’s only 7 minutes long and we’re doing 9 more of them this season, and all of them songs you know but probably didn’t know were recorded in Memphis. My segment starts around the 25 minute mark. This is fun!
